Pastor Alton Dixon Jr.
"The Faith Pastor"
Pastor Alton Dixon is the Son of a former Pastor and Evangelist. He accepted Christ in 1986 at the age of 12 while attending the Beacon Light Missionary Baptist Church of New Orleans, La. He served as a Youth Usher, Junior Deacon and Sunday School Youth President. Pastor Dixon accepted his call to the Ministry in 2001.
Pastor Dixon attended the New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary, where he pursued a Bachelor Degree in Christian Ministries. During this time, he was chosen by the North American Mission Board as the only African-American to attend a six (6) week mission trip to the country of Romania. While in Romania, he was blessed to minister to over 5,000 people.
In 2005, God used Hurricane Katrina to lead Pastor Dixon to Dallas, Texas. It is here where he served as the Singles/Young Adult Pastor and Pastor of Ministries at the Historic St. John Missionary Baptist Church for five years. He was an Associate Minister at Disciple Central Community Church of DeSoto, Texas for four years where he taught Singles, Leadership and New Members classes. In May of 2013, he started The H.O.T. (House of Transformation) Ministry; a Young Adult Ministry where people serve in 3 different cities (Dallas, New Orleans and Charlotte) serving in their communities, encouraging, giving spiritual advice, and leading adults to their God given destinies.
In February 2015, Pastor D was called to Faith Chapel Community Church and in May 2015; he was elected Senior Pastor. Pastor Dixon is currently pursuing a Masters of Arts in Christian Education at Southwestern Theological Seminary.
Pastor Dixon is married to Lady Mona Dixon.
